Machine Vs Microblading – What’s the Difference?

WHEN IT COMES TO HAVING THE PERFECT BROW, THERE IS ONE QUESTION ON EVERY CLIENT’S MIND – MACHINE OR MICROBLADING? WE GET ASKED DAY IN DAY OUT WHICH IS THE BEST? AND WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE? WELL, LET’S HOPEFULLY ANSWER SOME OF THOSE QUESTIONS NOW…

Machined brows, Semi-Permanent Make Up (SPMU) or Micropigmentation, is when a cosmetic tattoo machine implants pigment into the skin using ultra-fine needles. The machine used is different to a standard tattoo machine, as it implants the pigment much closer to the skin surface. This makes the eyebrow appear far more subtle.

The choice is yours when it comes to machined brows, allowing you to choose from a wide range of techniques. From a dramatic powdered look, to statement ombre or a natural enhancing hair stroke finish.

Microblading is a different technique altogether, although is proving just as, if not more popular than machined brows. The concept is still the same… by implanting pigment into the skin; however, microblading is performed using a disposable hand tool, which can only be used to create fine hair strokes. The benefits of using this hand tool is that the hair strokes are so fine, they perfectly mimic the effect of a real eyebrow hair… resulting in perfectly natural looking brows.

The needles in the hand tool are so fine, they can create an ultra-sharp, ultra-fine hair stroke which is perfect for those wanting the most natural of looks.

So in answer to the great debate of Machine Vs Microblade… it really is down to you and your personal preference.
